Nationalism dates from around the turn of the Eighteenth Century and after the Napoleonic Wars as the old ancien regimewas restored in what they actually referred to as 'The Restoration'. In France Louis XVIII, did his best to reconcile the old and new aristocracy by subtly playing on the idea of a nation called 'France' and quietly espousing the glories of French military prowess under the legendary 'Little Corporal'. Through such means he was even able to employ former Napoleonic Marshals like Soult and former members of the Imperial Guard in the new French Royal 'Armee'. The latter was of course meant to fulfil its primary role of preventing social revolution and to preserve the Royal House. There still remained though die-hard Napoleonists, especially among the Bourgeoisie, to whom the Emperor had shown especial favour. These often impoverished 'gentlemen' drifted into the growing underground movement that had established itself across the Continent but especially in areas where Napoleonic armies had been and its Revolutionary ideas about Brotherhood and Equality and the ideas of a nation under arms, as the French had truly been- perhaps the first time in history- following the overthrow of the Bourbons in 1789.

In Prussia, that most military of states, a loud call was made by thinkers like Von Clausewitz for a 'Landwehr' or 'People's Army' to arise and drive out the hated French. To the Aristocratic Junkers, the idea of arming 'The People' or volk, was a very dangerous idea but especially to their King Frederick William III. The idea was also abroad in other Germanic states like Bavaria and even in the Austrian Hapsburg imperium, that saw trouble from minorities in all its sub- ethnic divisions demanding national independence. The latter was to be a lesson in 'how not to run an empire' in the next hundred years and should serve as just warning to the people that run the 'EU', where their multicultural policies will lead. The final result was the Great War and the rise of Hitler. The Whig historian G.M. Trevelyan writing in the 1920s regards Napoleon as the catalyst for troubles that led to the First World War and the sufferings of our youth in the trenches

As I keep reminding my readership, historical consequences and process take years, sometimes hundreds to fulfil their effect.. I do not however subscribe to the Hegelian-Marxist historical school of 'thought' wherein the individual plays but little part in such events. No indeed I firmly believe in the massive singular influence of the individual and their thinking and actions upon the events in past and present. One reason why the Left detest, or rather fear to admit the vital importance of the individual genius or thinker, is because they cannot abide anybody being cleverer or more original than they are, since most of them come from and remain the envious, often talentless non-entities they usually are. Socialism is above all about self and is therefore personal in its very nature. Strangely, the very personal success of Karl and his Marxism and its global effect upon modern times, simply proves my point. Marx was not a particularly clever thinker but his ideas appealed to the baser instincts of the lower classes and even the spoilt brats, within the higher strata and even thinkers like H.G.Wells and George Bernard Shaw, who while being excellent writers, fell over the cliff when it came to common sense and 'higher thinking', that should have told them where their rather 'radical' ideas would lead if followed through. Ideas though once 'embedded' in the socio-political 'psyche' take decades to work themselves out and are difficult to be rid of. Socialism but especially Marxism has proven a very nasty almost incurable infestation.

Unlike today, Nationalism was an ally of Liberalism. It was not regarded as 'Far Right' but actually 'Left' if one could use such a term in the 1840s. The American Revolution was the inspiration of a national people throwing off the yoke of the monarchical despot and it also encouraged the French version in 1789, the French being avid followers of Tom Paine and co, who 'invented' so called 'Rights of Man'. Paine like so many of his ilk could not write very well. It seems to be a common failing of would be social reformers from Paine to Marx, that they write often poorly grammatical and rather trying long winded tracts. Rousseau was another one in his Social Contract, still much favoured by Leftwing politicians today. I have read all of them- or rather 'tried to'- but when one compares them to the sublime literature and thought of Kant, even Tolstoy, they are revealed for the heavy going encumbrances they are.

As I have oft stated, there are no such things as 'Human Rights', 'Rights of Man', or even 'Uman Rights' or 'Roits' that simply allow some despot or bureaucrat, to steal those natural states of existence we are born with like liberty, freedom, the need to hunt and fish and own what we have gained through our own efforts and upon which modern ideas like true capitalism,work and private property, even good law arise. English Common Law is a case in point. We never needed, and never will a Human Rights Act, since the guaranteed Law through Common Consent, when properly applied by decent judges and Police simply made it quite unnecessary, as Edmund Burke rightly stated- another hero of mine- for such 'Rights' , legislation to exist in the British Archipelago at all; the bloody 'liberality' of the French Revolution horrified him.

However, today thanks to our current situation wherein we are facing a top down revolution and ongoing coup by our own 'elite', this is no longer the case. We are run today by despots and 'Rights' at Common Law need to be reasserted and in future safe-guarded by Statute, to ensure there is no reprisal of the same. The Act of Settlement itself and even Magna Carta were all attempts to preserve what had previously been commonly 'understood' by the peoples of England. Feudal law by the way was quite strict in the treatment of vassals and the prevention of abuse by those with access to greater power. These types of legalistic writ stem from ancient, very ancient Germanic-Nordic tribal 'democracy', blended with Roman Republican law and behaviour that followed a system of natural laws-natura res- even stoicism believed in by the Romans, in which human beings existed subject to the codes of nature- that far from being savage or encouraging such, demanded something approaching fairplay, respect for the family and the placing of great responsibility to act fairly and properly in respect of those less well off than oneself. This is where western ideas of 'democracy' truly arise and seen in the election of kings, or the deposition of the same if they overrode their obligations. Such was the 'threat' of Magna Carta and Act of Settlement and Bill of Rights 1689 to 1701.

Rightists tend to be rather law abiding. I will not use the term 'Rightwing' or 'Far Right', since this terminology simply allows the wrong epithet to be applied to the less than well behaved, Leftwing despots currently carrying out the above revolution to form a Euro-Soviet in our midst, hence their great hatred and displeasure of feudal Common Laws and monarchs like the ancient British. Put simply they wish to personally acquire these ancient inborn natural rights to themselves by claiming the birthrights, property and liberty they have no claim upon, either historically or more simply, because they feel empowered to do so or through their sense of very personal entitlement- always personal entitlement.. Never lose sight of this last.....

There is no chance by the way of a national uprising until matters become so bad, that people will be left with no choice. I also warn anybody against the use of violence or the intention of doing so. The state will come done with extreme savagery. What people can do though is 'get together' in groups and use the internet and other means to communicate and 'spread the word'. It is also vital to time any protests and coordinate activities as events take place. This is what the Arabs did in their quest for a return to traditional Islam in fear of the 'neo- con' and European liberal attempts to spread their power and a global 'liberal democracy' the peoples of the Middle-East feared and have no desire, nor need for. They are not Romans, nor Germanic tribes- it simply is not in their 'DNA'.It takes centuries to assimilate ideas by the way. It is also called Evolution.

Events in the EU are about to run their course. I have had reports of serious trouble in Greece but also in Rumania, where crowds are out on the streets in the biggest numbers since the fall of the old Rumanian Dictatorship, who like a lot of ex Socialists decided to 'hang out' with his wife from a lamp-post. The EU 'elite' is becoming more hysterically in keeping with its great inspiration the collapsed USSR. The Media is full of rants about 'Far Right'- that is anybody thatsimply disagrees with it- potential 'Rightwing' 'fascism' and 'Nazi' on the march- all of it utter nonsense and warnings of another 'Brevik' event, that I now believe was a Leftist stunt in the wake of a collapsing currency and huge dangers of social unrest, already apparent on the streets. Expect the talk of 'Islamophobia' and Nazis to increase as well as scapegoats and 'clampdowns' by compliant police. Do not encourage them by resorting to or planning violence. But what I do expect to happen, is increasing protests by the right kind of people, not the 'Useful Idiot' attention diverting global 'Occupy' this and that 'movement', secretly paid for and encouraged by the very same Leftist elite that rants about other fellow Left 'Far Right' and 'Nazis' that simply do not exist, or even if they do, are so small and of little consequence to matter, except to provide the 'elite' with material to support their hysterical rants and scare-mongering to save their hides, from predictable public wrath that will ensue within a month or two as the full consequences hit home of the idiocy we now face.....

We need to be prepared to be on the streets in peaceful protest and in something approaching smart dress to show from whence we came and so deprive the 'elite' and its horrid lazy media. making out we are simply football yobs. This is what needs to happen.......
