Turkish Intelligence Says Iran Plans U.S. Embassy Terror Attacks

'The Turkish newspaper Zaman reports today that a cell of the Quds Unit of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard is planning to attack U.S. embassy in Ankara and other targets across the country.

Turkey’s intelligence service claims the Iranians plan to stay at a five-star hotel and break into the U.S. Embassy or one of its consulates. In addition to the Quds Unit, the report states that the Lebanese group Hezbollah will participate in the attacks.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports that according to Turkish intelligence, Iran is attempting to support the operations of “small, illegal Turkish organizations” following Turkey’s decision to establish a NATO radar installation on its territory, and due to Ankara’s condemnation of the al-Assad regime in Syria.'
