The Effects of the Iran Crisis ...

There are many real and many contrived aspects of the Iran crisis. Why has the 'twitter revolution' not visited Iran yet when many Iranian reports have said that the regime is very unpopular there? Is the twitter revolution contrived and directed by foreign powers? Why has the situation with Iran and its development of missiles and nuclear capability been allowed to go so far?

Some of us have been addressing these questions for more than a decade. As I've written and explained for many years, whatever happens, Israel will be blamed. That was the 'default' position, indeed the founding principle for the West and its curious religion, -- death as salvation (also the position of theosophy), Satan and the whole bit. It also is the position of modern geopolitics and 'the world community,' created and directed by the major powers of the West.

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose...

Everyone should know that on FOX a couple of nights ago, a CIA officer who, reportedly, worked with the team who disposed of bin Laden, which took long enough, with the help of our 'ally' Pakistan, -- that the world is full of problems and darkness, that the USA should not get involved (is this the Agency's position?) and that "we are being dragged into war byour arrogant Israeli friends."

This kind of discourse is not common in the American mainstream where relentless hostility to Israel and its ability to act in anyway sovereign is diffused through more sedate bromides about "peace processes" and the 'rights of the Palestinians' [sic]. The fellow's last name was Sheurer [sp] if I remember correctly. Have we not read of discrimination and lawsuits filed by Jewish employees of the Agency who cannot rise? There is interesting history there. To rise a Jew may need to convert or become a de facto anti-Semite. In any case, the statement about Israeli arrogance was notable.

A similar impression was drummed in on FOX Business Network Wednesday evening by Lou Dobbs, the transplant from CNN, the 'independent populist' who is the 'Mr. Bluster' of cable news. He led and directed a segment under the rubric, "Is Israel about to go Rogue" on us. Of course, in massaging and constructing reality, the dribble of 'views,' cliches and disinformation, perhaps even a bit of rational discussion that might follow is dwarfed in impact by the statement of the keynote, in this case the linking of "Israel" with "Go Rogue."

Were this not so vicious it would be laughable: the subservience of the perennial client regime in Israel, a direct carryover from the Yishuv establishment that did its best to throttle the war for independence and to protect British interests till the bitter end of the Mandate is so total (the State Dept and its echo chamber, the UN, dictate to Israel when and for how long and how it can fight) that any sign that Israel might act without the total blessing or even ORDERS of Auntie Laban is felt as an outrage.

Gasoline prices are very high despite declining consumption and plenty of stock, indeed surpluses, in the USA. It looks like, among other outcomes, another 1973 is being prepared. Remember: however it plays out, Israel will be blamed. Edom & Ishmael are obsessed: they cannot stop their incestuous game.
