Please find below message received regarding wind farm projects in Scotland

From:xxxxxxxxxxx K T

Hello Mr xxxxxxxxxxxxxx H

I have just received an email from a wind farm lobbying group which is talking about separation distances from homes for turbines.

Frankly, I am disgusted that anybody, with all the proof out there, including a recentHigh Court case where the wind farm company in question paid out of courtexpenses of an exceptional amount so as not to be found guilty of causing noise nuisance, loss of health and loss of property value.

I wonder how many MP's actually realise what is going on in Scotland?

It is utter madness up here. We are not just dealing with the occassional one wind
farm but in many cases, including where I live we have 2 applications for major windfarms on our doorstep (1km) away from our homes and village and this is on top of the 52 existing turbines in the valley.
There are plans for an extension of this to another 80. Just how much are we expected to put up with.
The wind farm developer involved with our local project compares homes and their value or loss of value with another wind farm where homes are 9.5km away.
There is no comparison. We know from experience that homes in our village are not selling and we know why.
Some properties have been on the market for years and because there are plans for a wind farm close by nobody want to buy it. Our homes has been for sale now for 6 months and the only person who looked at it did not come inside as when they asked where the wind farm was planned for they were not interested.
We have a lovely home with 30 acres of land and a beautiful view but all of that will be gone along with all the hard work my husband and myself have put into it. It is our lifes work and all our money which we were hoping to use in our old age.
Fat chance now.
Something has to be done about this situation because it is totally immoral. Nobody wants to know and I personally know families who are having to use thier own hard earned money to pay lawyers, acousticians etcto try to get something done about noise. Still councils are letting turbines be put as close as 500m from homes. It is not true to say that Scotland uses the 2km rule. I do not know of anywhere where this is happening.
It is unbelieveable what is going on here. I would like to know your thoughts on this. Struan Stevenson MEP is working very hard to try to get things changes as is Graeme Pearson MSP but many others do not want to know.
For God's sake somebody do something before it is too late. Spain has the right idea - stop the ROC's that we are having to pay to destroy our lives!!
