On Tuesday Guido did what many people didn't want him to: he released the first batch of the Operation Motorman files from the covered-up police led investigation into illegal blagging and invasions of privacy. The Operation Motorman files are huge, the thousands of entries contained in the files are a snapshot of the industrial scale criminality carried out by the press. Despite the files being known to most newspaper editors to Guido’s knowledge no action has been taken against the journalists named within, some of whom are now senior journalists. Ken Cries and Labour HQ Flays Itself
The race to become Mayor of London has heated up with Ken breaking down in tears on Thursday, he also had his line that voters didn't care about his tax avoidance thrown in his face when he was booed and hounded at a public debate in front of a balanced neutral crowd. No wonder his own campaign manager is privately slagging the candidate off. Labour's internal selection battle for the Birmingham Mayorality is getting messy as well, with Harman and Watson's sitch up plans going down extremely badly and their collegues fighting back. It has been a bad week for the Labour General Secretary Iain McNicol too. Forced to return from his ski-ing holiday, it looks like the union placeman is on the way out. Guido will miss his short lived target...
