According to the IDF's decision, two-wheeled vehicles will be mobilized in  emergencies in anticipation of blocked roads. The Center for Resource Recruitment and Economic Immobilization at the  Technological and Logistics Directorate is in charge of operating the  mobilization layout. The center has authority on emergency vehicle  mobilization that comes from Israel’s Emergency Regulations. The IDF previously decided on emergency motorcycle mobilization ten years  ago, but the consideration was dropped after harsh criticism from vehicle  owners. As stated, due to the potential situation that may occur during war  or a national disaster, the IDF has decided to return to mobilizing  motorcycles. The integration of motorcycles in handling emergencies is hardly a new  notion. The IsraelDefense website has previously revealed that the Israeli  Fire and Rescue Service has been examining the integration of motorcycles  for initial intervention in extinguishing fires until firefighting vehicles  can arrive.
