More on Rev'd Alan Clifford - including a 1 min radio Council Statement, on the matter.Slightly misleading headline, though....typical media twist and slanted and biased the wrong way! He doesn't "sympathise" - he "shares his concern"...which is rather different! These hacks have no real understanding of the English language!
===Anti-Islamic pastor sympathises with Breivik
April 17, 2012
An anti-Islamic pastor says the views on his leaflet that was banned 'resonates' with the views of Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik.Pastor Alan Clifford from Norwich Reformed Church has been stopped from holding a weekly bookstall after giving out leaflets deemed offensive.Norwich City Council said the literature on Islam was hate-motivated.
In court today in Oslo, Anders Breivik says his killing spree in Norway last year was motivated by goodness - not evil.The far right fanatic denies criminal responsibility for the deaths of 77 people, saying he was fighting multiculturalism.He's told his trial it was the "most spectacular and sophisticated attack on Europe since World War Two".He also identified as his enemy the "cultural Marxists" who he said had destroyed Norway by using it as "a dumping ground for the surplus births of the third world".Claiming Norwegians would be a minority in their own capital "within five years", blaming liberal politicians for bringing about Norway's demise.Pastor Alan Clifford tells Premier's Des Busteed he stands by the leaflet and while he shares Anders Breivik's concern about multi-culturalism he doesn't support violence.A spokesman from Norwich City Council has released this statement.He said: " We received a complaint from a member of the public about material published by the Norwich Reformed Church which uses council facilities. This was considered to be hate-motivated and in accordance with the agreed Norfolk Multi Agency Protocol we contacted the police."Although the police advised that no criminal offence had been committed, we have a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to foster good relations between people of all backgrounds and religions. By allowing premises owned by the council to be used by an organisation publishing such material, we would be failing in that duty".Pastor Alan Clifford says he will now appeal the decision on grounds of freedom of speech.
