The move is part of a broader arrangement designed to tamp down anxiety in the US-Japan defense alliance stemming in part from opposition in Okinawa to what many view as the troublesome US military presence, the Associated Press reported.

'New evidence shows British Chancellor George Osborne has been lobbied by media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s son, James, to assist them in their attempt to take over satellite broadcaster BSkyB. Evidence emerged at the Leveson Inquiry, set up by the British government to investigate British press standards, reported The Independent.
James Murdoch said he personally lobbied Osborne in November 2010 while Business Secretary Vince Cable was considering his father’s News Corporation’s bid to buy the 61% stake in BSkyB it did not own.'
