Today the report is of the entire European Union which is moving to create a mandatory electronic ID, which will incorporate a RFID chip in an identity card. How much longer before governments move to implant those chips into a person rather than a card? Perhaps not long, if people like science fiction writer, Elizabeth Moon, have their way. This writer, (see article below), suggests that every person should be given a barcode or chip at birth. In fact this writer even goes so far as to make the comment that if she were "empress of the earth" she would insist that every person be required to accept this implant.'
