Bournos has no reason to fear another round of elections! His party is set to come first next time: "There was little incentive for Mr Tsipras to compromise, with two opinion polls published at the weekend showing that Syriza would win first place if a fresh election were held in June, although the party would still fall short of an overall majority in parliament."

But Bournos makes no sense at all when he says he would like to keep the euro but is not willing to pay the price.

John Bournos, a spokesman for Syriza, has told the BBC he will not compromise in order to avoid another election.

He said he did not want Greece to leave the euro but he could not support the bailout conditions from the eurozone.

Opinion polls indicate that four in five Greeks want to stay in the eurozone but they are voting for a party that is firmly against the euro. Isn't that a mystery?
