'Fresh evidence further proves allegations about ties between Libya's slain dictator Muammar Gaddafi and incumbent French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Press TV reports.
A lawyer for Libya’s former Prime Minister Baghdadi Ali al-Mahmudi confirmed on Thursday that Gaddafi contributed over 50 million euros to Sarkozy’s 2007 election campaign. Mahmudi is now reportedly in detention in Tunisia. Earlier, the leftist French journal Mediapart published documentary evidence about the controversial funding source.'

'“Southern Turkey has become a hot-bed for training Syrian armed fighters in guerilla warfare,” Refik Eryilmaz of Turkey’s Republican People's Party (CHP) told the Turkish newspaper Yeni Chag.
He added that, the unrest in Syria has made the city of Hatay get more attention as the Syrian refugees are residing there and now a considerable number of bullets and textiles for military purposes have been transferred to the city.
The Turkish official went on to say that, “The sending location of this military equipment should be cleared. It seems that it has been transferred from an arms factory.”'

'In an address at the presidential palace on Thursday, Karzai said the US troops have killed Afghan civilians, raided civilian-homes and imprisoned Afghan nationals in their jails, all in the name of fighting terrorism.
He also accused the US and its allies of carrying out what he called arbitrary actions in Afghanistan. Karzai's comments come after he signed a strategic partnership deal with the US President Barack Obama on Tuesday, which paved the way for a US presence in the country through 2024.'

'Bolivian riot police have clashed with doctors and medical students who were protesting against their working hours in the capital La Paz.
Doctors and health workers in Bolivia’s hospitals, clinics and health centers took to the streets of the capital on Wednesday to voice their opposition against the Bolivian government’s plan to increase their working time by two hours.However, riot police attacked protesters and used tear gas and rubber bullets to drive the demonstrators back.'
