Those who complained to Dr Williams and Dr Sentamu about the stance on the EU taken by the Church of England's Archbishops’ Council may by now have had an email from a senior Church of England official.
The email attempts to excuse the Archbishops from their own Submission to the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, a totally pro-EU document which accused David Cameron of leaving Britain ‘without credibility’ by using our veto in the EU last December.
What it does not say is that this official was the true author of the submission. Nor does it say how pleased he was with himself over the reaction to it. Not only that, but our research shows that he has authored numerous pro-EU and pro-globalist submissions to government for the Archbishops Council since being appointed secretary of a little-known sub-committee of the General Synod, the House of Bishops’ Europe Council. That’s not all. You will be amazed where he pops up.
In fact, Dr Charles Reed has become in all but name the Church of England’s Foreign Secretary. So who does he report to?

Pray: Thank the Lord for bringing all this to light and pray for Dr Reed to seek the Lord in scripture, not in fashionable opinions of the chattering-classes.
Email: Ask the archbishops if they personally agreed with the recent submission that Dr Reed authored. And if not, what procedures will they be putting in place to ensure he is accountable to them? Mark your email ‘For the attention of … :’
