Diamond: Hold My Dick Like Shriti Hiti the Fan Whilst Diamond Tells Critics: Hold My Dick on Facebook

Shriti Hiti By LIBOR Scandal

July has kicked off with Labour calling for a judge led inquiry following the resignation of Bob Diamond, a move they may well turn out to regret given how awkward things looks for Ed Balls.

As more revelations come out it is becoming clear that Shriti Vadera, Gordon Brown's economic adviser at No10, was in the frame.

That fact was not lost on Ed Balls, who used an interview with the BBC to dump Shriti in it

By far Guido's favourite Diamond story of the week came courtesy of his investment banker daughter Nell, who tweeted defiantly that George Osborne and Ed Miliband can "hold my dick".

A girl to make a father proud...

There was positive news on the Trade Union Pilgrims front as Guido learnt that the long-awaited consultation into taxpayer-funded trade union officials will be announced next week. The taxpayer seems to be winning the battle against union lackeys, but attention now turns to politicial parties themselves as Guido revealed how both the Tories and the Labour Party have been offering advice to their donors on how to dodge inheritance tax. This week also saw one man who has failed to dodge a bullet in the past, former Defence Secretary Liam Fox, relaunch his career with a speech on an EU referendum. It looks like Guido will be banging on about Europe a lot more in the coming months...

Banking scandals and tax avoidance aside, there was still time for plenty of light relief over the last seven days. Guido brought you picture evidence of Al-Jazeera presenter Charlotte Jackson's Thatcherite girl-on-girl action, while Channel 4's Cathy Newman scored a spectacular SMOG - that is a Social Media Own Goal. Nigel Farage tore Herman van Rompuy a new one, again. Best of all, while Chloe Smith was landed with the Newsnight gig last week, Nick Clegg was given something much more suitable on Monday: NewsroundGuido is pleased the Deputy PM has finally found his level...
