This morning you explained that the only way our dairy farmers could make 
a profit is by buying milk from the supermarkets and selling it to the 
dairies - 
if it were legal to do so.  
You followed this by wistfully asking where does this milk come from?
Well! here is one answer:  


A friend and his Polish wife make annual visits to her parents.  
After one such visit a few years ago they had learnt that 
Polish dairy farmers were selling their milk to the French 
for 7p a litre.  
They were further told the French were selling this milk on 
at 11p a litre.
We mentioned this to our HGV driving youngest daughter who said 

she was bringing milk in nightly from France in her 42 ton 
refrigerated articulated lorry to deliver to supermarket depots.  
The last load she brought in she noticed all the cartons were marked 
"Sainsbury".
