Re: Third Intifada Rehash
Dear Editor,
There are theories being advocated that if the Palestinians and the Israelis do not meet soon, a third intifada will commence. Another segment of this concept is that Israel will be responsible for this outbreak.
Any reasonable analysis of intifadas one and two would compel an objective observer of the Middle East to unequivocally arrive at a conclusion that both intifadas were state sponsored insurrections, rather than street combustions.
The previous intifadas have been used and orchestrated by the Palestinian leadership as a violent negotiating tactic.
Israel should be well prepared militarily and verbally to protect herself against this war-like stratagem.
If the Palestinian leadership uses these kinds of violent tactics before they have a state, after they have a state it would be a many times worse.
Very truly yours,
William K. Langfan
