How amazing is it to see #Bristol Labour exposed? #edl #casualsunited

Oh dear a political storm has broken out in Bristol in the wake of the EDL demo there after certain Labour politicians either showed how undemocratic they were by calling for a legal, and liased march to be banned. Very democratic that, calling for a ban on something just because you dont agreee with it.

Mayor hopeful Marvin Rees went one step further and actually aligned himself with the UAF. An extreme left wing group, an offshoot of the Socialist Workers Party, the very people responsible for the majority of trouble at previous EDL demos. He clearly knew the potential for clashes when Anarchist and Leftist mobs are encouraged to counter the EDL, yet he encouraged this counter demo. Even though he was warned of possible trouble and was told that the Muslim youth had been told to stay away, he made it his business to promote this counter demo which saw Leftists clash with police while trying to attack the marchers.

Mr Hopkins said in today’s statement: “Let’s be quite clear how serious this situation could have been. The violence could have been a great deal worse, had it not been for excellent policing and the calm, statesmanlike approach of the Muslim community.

“It beggars belief that a candidate for the highest office in Bristol should have let unelected Labour activists pull his strings and force him into the very embarrassing position he finds himself in now.

“It was the same with the other Labour leaders in Bristol. We urged all the other parties on the city council to sign up to a simple statement of support for the police and acknowledgement of the statesmanlike position adopted by the Muslim leaders. Labour alone refused to sign this statement.

“The Liberal Democrat administration was as opposed to the EDL march as anyone else.

“But we recognised – as the Muslim community did – that it would be better controlled if it was allowed to go ahead and we worked closely with the police and the Muslim leaders to help ensure things went off peacefully.”

This is comedy gold. Labour politicians being manipulated by UAF and now facing calls to step down. The fact is, no EDL or other march/demo has ever been "stopped" by a counter demo. We dont care if there are 5000 people opposing us, we still do our demo.We know a lot of people dont agree with us but we dont care. All it means is that the potential for trouble is massively increased. The UAF want trouble, so they can point and say "look we told you the EDL are violent". They know that if they werent there they wont be violence, so they try to make sure they are always there. Police said out of 70 EDL demos there was violence on 30. Every one of those 30 was countered by UAF. Its not rocket salad. For many patriots, the fact that we will be opposed on the day is all part of the fun, watching a load of scruffy student types go purple while screaming "fascist" and being arrested makes the day more exciting. Coming under attack means those under attack become tighter and have a greater sense of "comradeship". The UAF have failed to affect a single one of our demos and all they have done is double the policing bill and cause violence where there was no need.

Any politician with any brains at all should know that these extreme left wing groups only want trouble, yet time and again we see politicians from all the parties, but particularly Labour siding with them and encouraging their nonsense.

I love to see politicians in the shite, and I'm proud to have been part of the Bristol crowd if only for the fact that its exposed these idiots and shown the Bristol people who they have elected. LMFAO
