Laura: I am really tired of our media and political elites walking on eggshells and pretending that American, Israeli and western civilization and Judeo-Christian values are not superior, especially compared to islamic societies. Mitt Romney’s truthful comment about culture mattering has been excoriated by the usual suspects as “racist”. The fact is that “palestinian” and Arab-islamic culture embrace an ideology of hatred, violence and death. Instead of a normal education, they teach depraved ideas to their children to hate and murder Jews and infidels as well as devalue their own lives. They are taught that their highest aspiration should be to strap on a bomb and detonate themselves in a crowd of Jews. Should it come as a surprise that a culture which instills the idea in its children that their lives are meaningless other than to be used in the cause of killing and dying for allah, are failed societies? On the other hand Jewish values embrace and sanctify life, and value education and Media is Mad Because Mitt Told the Truth? Wayne Allyn Root Jul 31, 2012 Sign-Up Don’t Americans constantly complain because politicians by Matthew M. Hausman, Iconoclast (August 2012) Although Evangelical support for the State of Israel is on the rise, liberal Jews tend to regard Christian Zionists with intense distrust. There are certainly valid reasons for initial suspicion in light of the history of Christian antisemitism and missionary excess, but progressive discomfort has little to do with this history. Rather, it stems from the association of conservative Christians with values that conflict with the liberal political agenda. Ironically, liberals are perfectly comfortable with “policies of inclusion” that accommodate Arab-Muslim interests opposed to the very existence of a Jewish State, and have no problem dialoguing with Islamists who promote religious intolerance, antisemitism and a rejection of western values. They apparently prefer the political company of Islamists who deal in doctrinal Jew-hatred and taqiyya (i.e., religiously-mandated dissimulation to deceive “infidels” and advance the cause of jihad) than of those Christians who actually support Israel for reasons of history and justice. This article addresses the same question that mine did about the US position on Jerusalem, but it is far superior because Tauber added greatly to the facts. By Ted Belman The refusal to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is actually a decades-old policy which bears no relation to peace negotiations. Even if he hadn’t advocated moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney proved something that has vexed US spokespeople for decades: Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and it’s no biggie to say so. This article was written by a pro-Palestinian guy and was first published in the Palestine Chronicle. From there it went to the Eurasia Review. Ignore the screed against Israel and focus instead on the largesse Israel has received and wonder why. Perhaps because they need us more than we need them. While the EU and the US could cut off the flow of funds to put the burden on Israel of caring for the necessities of the Arabs in the territories, I doubt that they would do this because then they would have lost control of the process. They also know that it would end the PA and that Israel would respond by massive construction in Judea and Samaria in o0rder to put the Arabs to work. Thus we benefit as do they. Ted Belman By Jonathan Cook, Palestine Chronicle Israel has barely put a foot right with the international community since its attack on Gaza more than three years ago provoked global revulsion. The right-wing government of Benjamin Netanyahu has serially defied and insulted foreign leaders, including US President Barack Obama; given the settlers virtual free rein; blocked peace talks with the Palestinians; intimidated and marginalized human rights groups, UN agencies and even the Israeli courts; and fuelled a popular wave of Jewish ethnic and religious chauvinism against the country’s Palestinian minority, foreign workers and asylum seekers. An Interview with Dexter Van Zile of CAMERA by Jerry Gordon and Dexter Van Zile (August 2012) Some mainline Protestant Churches have strayed far from the origins of their support for Christian Zionism. Puritan John Winthrop spoke of “We shall be as a City upon a Hill, the eyes of all people are upon us…”. He used imagery of the Promised Land as New Israel upon landing in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1620. This was the cornerstone of what became known as American Exceptionalism, a furtherance of the Judeo-Christian heritage. He and the Pilgrims took this as an article of faith. Winthrop and his Congregationalist followers would likely be offended by the anti-Israel resolutions of the successor United Church of Christ (UCC) in the 21st Century. So would philo-Semitic Ezra Stiles, Congregationalist Minister and Fifth President of Yale University whose seal is emblazoned with Hebrew words “urim v thummin,” translated as the Latin “Lux et Veritas,” Light and Truth. Stiles was a supporter of restorationism, the return of Jews to their ancient homeland. Another similarly minded personality was Asa McFarland, a Presbyterian who in the early 19th Century believed that the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the Fourth Caliphate, would result in the founding of a Jewish Commonwealth. Whitaker would likely be troubled by the Presbyterian Church (USA) resolutions in the past decade seeking divestments from American firms doing business in the Jewish State of Israel founded in 1948. In the course of expressing amazement at Israel’s economic miracle, he merely pointed out that cultural differences lead to differences in economic performance. In Romney’s own words: STRATFOR REPORTS: The US is now also financing the FSA. It is fighting against an independent Kurdish region in Syria. Ted Belman David Pollock, Senior Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy published today, an important commentary on the resolve of Syria’s Kurds seeking autonomy and unity defying both Assad and the opposition. Entitled, “Syria’s Kurds Unite against Assad, but Not with Opposition” By Ted Belman In the last week, spokespersons for the State Department and for Obama were pressed on the issue of Jerusalem. Not only were they unwilling to say the Jerusalem is the capital of Israel but they were not prepared to acknowledge that the western section of Jerusalem, which Israel conquered in the ’48 War and which lies to the west of the armistice lines, was even in Israel. By acknowledging he was in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, Romney stepped on a hornet’s nest. The response from Camp Obama was immediate. “Some people are scratching their heads a bit” over Romney’s remarks, White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters, noting that the Republican candidate is defying a position “that’s been held by previous administrations, both Democratic and Republican. So if Mr. Romney disagrees with that position, he’s also disagreeing with the position that was taken by Presidents like Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan.”
Romney Spoke The Truth
achievement and making their lives worthwhile.
lie? Barack Obama lies so much, his nose should be longer than Pinnochio. He
says “the private sector is doing fine.” He says to business owners, “You didn’t
build that.” He tells the middle class that “none of the tax increases are aimed
at you.” And he tells rich people who pay almost all of the taxes, “You’re not
paying your fair share.” It’s all lies and distortions. Yet Mitt Romney tells
the truth and he gets panned by the national media? All he said a few days ago
is that Israel is a remarkable country…the Israeli people are remarkable
people…and then compared the GDP of the average Israeli (about $32,000) to the
average Palestinian (about $2000). Now this may be politically incorrect, but
it’s certainly the truth. Forget the Palestinians. Israel is remarkable compared
to any country, and the Jewish people are remarkable compared to any other
tribe. Is Mitt wrong? Let’s look at the facts. (Read more…)The Liberal Rejection of Christian Zionists

Is Barack Obama Prejudiced Against Arabs?
“And as you come here and you see the GDP per capita for instance in Israel which is about 21,000 dollars and you compare that with the GDP per capita just across the areas managed by the Palestinian Authority which is more like 10,000 dollars per capita you notice a dramatic, stark difference in economic vitality. And that is also between other countries that are near or next to each other. Chile and Ecuador, Mexico and the United States. … there was a book written by a former Harvard professor named ‘The Wealth and Poverty of Nations.’ …and he’s in his early 70s at this point, he says this, he says, if you could learn anything from the economic history of the world it’s this: culture makes all the difference. Culture makes all the difference. And as I come here and I look out over this city and consider the accomplishments of the people of this nation, I recognize the power of at least culture and a few other things.”
Syria’s Kurds Unite Defying Assad and the Opposition
The United States does not anticipate the formation of an autonomous Kurdish region in Syria and does not support separatism, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon said during a visit to Istanbul, Hurriyet Daily News reported July 31. A Syrian government after President Bashar al Assad should be inclusive, Gordon said, adding that the international community will seek to work and coordinate with the opposition, including the Kurdish community.
