Special Dispatch No. 4860 On July 27, 2012, Ziad Al-Bandak, an advisor to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud 'Abbas on Christian affairs, visited the Auschwitz concentration camp, laying a wreath at the Death Wall and lighting a candle in memory of the Holocaust victims. The visit was at the invitation of a private Polish foundation promoting tolerance. Several days prior to the visit, he met with Polish Undersecretary of State Boguslaw Winid. Al-Bandak's act sparked furious responses from Hamas and Hamas supporters. The movement's spokesman, as well as columnists on websites affiliated with it, stated that the visit served the interests of Israel, which presents itself as a victim by spreading the "lie" of the Holocaust. Special Dispatch No. 4859 In Pakistan, where Islamic clerics routinely promote Antisemitism, leading Pakistani politician and prominent religious leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman recently accused Israel of deploying Israeli soldiers in support of Indian security forces in Kashmir. Maulana Fazlur Rehman is the head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) party. His remark on Kashmir came in an official statement marking the Kashmir Martyrs' Day – July 13, 2012. Rehman is the head of Pakistan's Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Affairs. In another Antisemitic video that appeared on YouTube in June 2012, Pakistani cleric Pirzada Muhammad Raza Saqib Mustafai argued that world peace will be established only when all the Jews are wiped out from the earth. In the video entitled "Yahodi Islam Kay Aur Aman Kay Asal Dushman Hain" (Jews Are the Real Enemy of Islam and Peace), Muhammad Raza Saqib Mustafai states: "And all the troubles that exist around the world are because of the Jews. When the Jews are wiped out, then the world would be purified and the sun of peace would begin to rise on the entire world." His speech is part of the Fikr-e-Iman (Concern for Faith) series of lectures. Mustafai is a leading cleric belonging to the Barelvi School of Sunni Islam and is also the founder of Idarat-ul-Mustafa Pakistan, which is described as a spiritual movement for the enforcement of Islamic shari'a in the country. Special Dispatch No. 4858 In a June 28, 2012 op-ed titled "Islam is the Religion of the Future," in the Saudi Gazette, Hassan Tahsin, who according to the paper is an Egyptian writer and political analyst, discussed what he said were statements by a "Jewish rabbi" who "has spoken out about Islam and has said that it is the religion of the future." Six people have been arrested and one sentenced to a month in prison for eating in public during the month of Ramadan, according to the official Palestinian Authority daily newspaper. Under Islamic law, eating is prohibited from sunrise until sunset during the entire month.
In addition, the Chairman of the PA Supreme Court for Shari'ah Law said PA law should prohibit even non-Muslims and those who cannot fast for health reasons from eating in public during the month. Sheikh Yusuf Ida'is explained: "Our streets are Islamic," and formal legislation should be enacted to "severely punish" anyone who eats publicly during Ramadan. Sheikh Ida'is was appointed Chairman of the Shari'ah court by presidential order of Mahmoud Abbas in January 2012.

"The police arrested five people who desecrated the holiness of the month of Ramadan by eating in public during daytime, in the city of Nablus."

TV host: "If someone doesn't fast for some reason [during Ramadan month] because he follows a different religion or has health reasons, it's his right. However, he breaks the spirit of Ramadan by eating or drinking in public or at work."
Ida'is: "We have to monitor the streets and severely punish anyone who [eats] in public during Ramadan, and this is the responsibility of the security forces. Our [Palestinian] streets are Islamic, praise Allah. Any person caught committing this sin in public during Ramadan has to be imprisoned until the end of Ramadan, as an example to others. I call upon others [non-Muslims] to be considerate of Muslims' feelings."
