This year's Olympics will be remembered for dramatic finishes and new world records. But for Jews worldwide, they'll also be remembered for what didn't take place, a moment of silence to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the murders by terrorists of 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 games in Munich.

But while the International Olympic Committee has forsaken the Munich 11, we can remember the slain athletes by raising $1.1 million to purchase 11 urgently needed Life Support Ambulances to be deployed in Israel in each athlete's memory.

The $100,000 that American Friends of Magen David Adom needs to purchase each ambulance can be donated by individuals or foundations, or by people interested in organizing community campaigns. Let's commemorate the deaths of the athletes with a gift that values life. Help sponsor an ambulance for Israel.
