Our cheap, renewable – expensive, dangerous energy policy.

The Green debate in its various forms, has ranged over a very wide area for a very long time.

From climate change scare to global warming scare,  carbon emissions and trading emission quotas, receding polar ice caps, rising oceans, species under threat, etc. etc. .

In the wake of this heavily contrived and fuelled debate, there has been an unholy stampede by the worlds “ major chancers “ to cash in via the lucrative hysteria it has generated.

The process stalled badly, when the University of East Anglia’s report was dubbed  “ Climategate “ ,  and the worlds premier, self styled, eco guru, Dr Pachauris was exposed as a fraud.

Even so, few governments have avoided shooting themselves in the foot, and all national governments in the EU are on course for bankruptcy, having committed themselves to catastrophic levels of expenditure in order to meet ridiculous, un-substantiated targets set by fraudulent Brussels.

The sharks who circle the waters around governments, and who pick up lucrative contracts for carrying out these largely fictitious tasks, could not be happier, and Westminster true to form, has jumped into the swamp feet first and started sinking as fast as most.

The latest manifestation of this collective insanity, was reported in yesterdays Telegraph Business supplement ( infinitely preferable to the paper itself ).

As other nations abandon nuclear power generation over genuine safety concerns,  weasely Westminster, without asking its electorate,  is well advanced in negotiations with the French, seeking to give E.d.F. a free hand in building and controlling several new stations in the UK, and providing them with generous subsidies for the privilege.

Just another example of the tried and tested, gravy train theory.  

The wind farm scam is too well documented to need restating, with  our major companies and major non-British ones, shamelessly receiving horrendous sums of money in subsidies for building and operating what is proving to be a very expensive form of electricity generation.
