(ANSA) - Naples, September 20 - Three people were injured after a group of Swedish soccer fans were attacked here by Napoli supporters ahead of Thursday's Europa League match between the Naples side and Sweden's AIK Solna.

The Swedes, who were actually Napoli supporters, were attacked by hardcore ultras fans wielding baseball bats and knives outside a pizzeria, said police.

The attackers covered their faces with scarves.

The owner of the pizzeria, who tried to speak in the defence of the Swedes, was injured, as was a 41-year-old Swedish national who organized the trip and another 23-year-old. None of the injuries, mostly to the legs and buttocks, are said to be serious.
