Hizbullah Buries Its Fighters Killed In Syria

Following are excerpts from an announcement posted on the Internet and an Al-Manar TV report on the burial of Hizbullah fighters killed in Syria, which aired on October 2, 2012.

Farouq Brigades member: "Upon the order of the general commander of the Farouq Brigades, the Baraa Brigade in the city of Qusseir attacked a roadblock on the international highway between Qusseir and Baalbek. This roadblock was manned by members of Hizbullah."

Senior Hamas Military Operative Joins Rebels In Syria

According to a member of the jihadi forum Shumoukh Al-Islam, a senior Hamas military operative from the Gaza strip has left to join the rebels in Syria.

New Video Released By Syrian Jihadi Group Shows Five Yemeni Soldiers It Captured In Northern Syria, Hints At Their Fate

On September 31, 2012, the Syrian jihadi group Jabhat Al-Nusra released a short video showing five Yemeni soldiers that the group claimed to have captured in northern Syria. According to group, the soldiers were in Syria as part of collaboration between the Syrian and Yemeni governments.

Syrian Rebels Build Unmanned, Remote-Controlled Military Aircraft

Following are excerpts of a video featuring an aircraft made by Syrian rebels, which was posted on the internet on August 30, 2012.

Rebel: "With the grace of Allah we have built our first unmanned, remote-controlled glider aircraft. We equipped it with a camera that relays images back in real time. This aircraft is capable of carrying 50kg of explosives and dropping them on the positions of Assad's army. The aircraft has been named 'Dawn of Freedom 1,' and this is its first test run."
