Dear Friend:
I'm excited to tell you about an important new project I'm developing, one I'm sure Shmuel would approve of -- a website dedicated to the history of Zionism.
The site, Zionism 101, teaches through film. In that sense, it's unique. Other Zionism sites depend on text.
These films cover every aspect of Zionist history, from its early founding to the present day.
The material is presented in the framework of 'video courses'. Each video course consists of films that average 5 minutes in length. They are built from authentic period footage and photographs, offering students a window into the past. All films are original to the site.
Once completed the site will have 64 films.
Please visit the site at: www.zionism101.org
If you would like to contribute, please visit: http://zionism101.org/donate.aspx
On a personal note, the idea was the brainchild of Herbert Zweibon, dearly departed chairman of Americans for a Safe Israel. Herb recognized in his later years that education was paramount. One of his last projects was a highly successful national high school essay contest in Israel. The site continues his work.
Sincerely,
David
