America is in incipient decline, and this week’s presidential election might be the last chance to reverse it. We are becoming a different sort of country, with a different people and different beliefs. Another four years of Barack Obama well might take us past the point of no return, although no-one, to be sure, knows quite where that lies. There is still time to change course. There might not be time by 2016.
Nearly a third of Americans now depend on food stamps, welfare, disability payments, or some other form of government support, compared with one out of five when George W Bush left office. This enormous shift has occurred before the detonation of a demographic time bomb that will explode towards the end of the present decade, and which will push America towards even greater dependency. This time bomb has four facets:

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an declared last week in Berlin that Turkey has not given up its aspiration to join the EU. He went even further and called on Muslims in Europe to integrate into their European communities. It is unclear whether the Turkish leader has actually reconsidered the decision to abandon the European project or if his remarks were delivered as a courtesy to please his German host.
While Turkey’s motives are uncertain, it is clear that Erdo?an’s strategic decision to get involved in Middle Eastern politics has put Turkey in grave danger. The decision of a NATO member state to engage in Syria has exposed the international alliance to unwanted conflict as it is bound to stand by Turkey in its Eastern adventure.

Israeli warplanes flew over the divided Golan Sunday, Nov. 4, in a show of strength and as a deterrent against the Syrian civil war seeping across the border, DEBKAfile’s military and Western intelligence sources report. In Paris, President Francois Hollande vowed Sunday that “France would oppose with all its strength any bid to destabilize Lebanon. Lebanon must be protected.”
He spoke regardless of the 5,000 Lebanese Shiite Hizballah fighters who have poured into Syria from their Beqaa Valley stronghold of al-Harmel to fight Bashar Assad’s war. Our sources reveal that these Lebanese fighters have now advanced 50-60 kilometers deep into southwestern Syria, up to the outskirts of the embattled town of Homs.

US and Turkish sources report that Admiral James Winnfeld, Vice-Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff informed Turkey of a peace plan negotiated with Moscow for keeping Assad in power and barring the creation of buffer zones. Instead, the UN was studying the deployment in Syria of a peacekeeping force.
During his visit to Ankara in the third week of October, the US admiral said that Washington’s plans for Syria would be fully revealed after the Nov. 6 presidential election.

Documents obtained by former Muslim Brotherhood member Walid Shoebat reportedly demonstrate the Obama administration is to blame for the deaths of Americans in the Benghazi consulate attack because it effectively empowered the Islamic terrorist organization al-Qaida to take over governance of Libya.
Shoebat reports a group of anti-al-Qaida Libyans in exile have come into possession of some highly classified documents that, in their view, “will bring the Obama Administration down.”
“Obama gift-wrapped Libya, handed it over to al-Qaida,” the group asserts, “and we can prove it.”

Laura: muslims respond with glee to the devastation wrought by hurricane Sandy. Yet we are constantly told to be sensitive to the fragile feelings of muslims even as they preach hatred and wish calamity and death upon us. Never should we provide aid to any muslim country from a natural disaster or for any other reason. The best way to stop islam in any case is to completely bankrupt them economically. Absolutely no diplomatic or economic relations should be conducted with muslim countries.
For the past 25 years, the Muslim Brotherhood in North America has been pursuing a comprehensive strategy to control what non-Muslims know about Islam. This multi-pronged threat doctrine seeks to prohibit open discussion and to abridge free speech. It also seeks to curtail education and training given to the military, law enforcement, intelligence, and government about the true nature of Islam. Overall, the Brotherhood’s agenda seeks to block a fair and critical appraisal of Islamic doctrine, pursue a stealth civilizational jihad against the West, and, ultimately, render us impotent to defend ourselves.
A review of the Brotherhood’s progress in this effort over the past two decades presents a chilling picture of the extent to which our safety and way of life have been compromised. It serves as a wake-up call for action now.

This is a brilliant article. No one comes close to Kedar in explaining mid east politics. Because Obama had promised the American people that he would withdraw all troops from Iraq by the end of 2011, Iran simply waited him out. Iran has now bought off or killed Iraqi legislators. Thus Iran is able to dictate Iraq policy and has ordered Iraq to support Assad. In other words, Obama’s simplistic take on the ME has caused untold problems in Syria by virtue of his withdrawal from Iraq
Furthermore when the insurgency was going on in Iraq both under Bush and Obama, Saudi Arabia was funding the Sunnis who were killing US troops and Shites. At the same time Iran was financing the Shite militia called “The Mahdi Army”, headed by Muqtada al-Sadr, and they were killing Americans and Sunnis. America knew this but was unwilling to take on Saudi Arabia or Iran in addition to Iraq and Afghanistan.
In addition Kedar has told State that they should have respected tribal differences and divided Iraq into three countries;Kurds, Sunnis and Shites. State rejected his thinking out of hand. And now Obama has told Barzani in no uncertain terms that he won’t support an independent Kurdistan in Syria.Ted Belman
