SLAVES

The seed ye sow, another reaps;
The wealth you find, another keeps;
The robes ye weave, another wears;
The arms ye forge, another bears

Americans, especially American men are slaves. Meaningful identity and liberty depend on the ability to husband, cultivate and bring your seed to ripeness, in the garden and in the garden of one’s descendants. Thanks to ‘no-fault’ divorce, abortion and taxation, -- the first two solely the initiative and prerogative of females, taxes that of the true ‘mate’ of postmodern women, the State -- American men can do neither. The seed of your loins, your integrity, identity, work and future is for others, often the wife of your bosom, to use an old phrase our sophisticated time mocks, to destroy at their whim.
American men are slaves.
The essence of personal and national integrity is sovereignty. Sovereignty demands and largely consists of the ability to assert and maintain borders: it is essential to property and identity (including tradition). The rulers of this nation destroy Americans’ ability to assert and maintain borders in every aspect of life, from the most intimate to the vast geography of our great continent. Criminals always can get in while for honest citizens free passage is increasingly demeaning and difficult, in the name of security which is lost in a climate of terror and uncertainty, the ‘what’s next’ feeling fostered by the postmodern State, a state of manipulation and ‘color of law’ legalisms.
Americans are slaves; not least, they are slaves to the dogmas of political correctness and media distraction and indoctrination that make it difficult, indeed, terrifying for most of them to think. For genuine thinkers, thought becomes dangerous. This is a culture of terror.
Americans are slaves. Where is privacy in this era of ‘transparency,’ ‘vetting’ and social media [sic]? The ‘right to privacy’ is a conspiracy of ‘a woman and her doctor’ to reach their own conclusions about aborting your child, you slaves. The postmodern era, the time when imagery trumps life and social life becomes a tangle of official deceits and unnatural attitudes, is the era of slavery, a synonym of impotence. The trolls of the power matrix can track your emails to your vitals and vacuum your life up like a demon in a horror film. There is no freedom here, only its mockery.
A man consists of his seed and posterity; his land and home; the arms to protect them and the fruit of his labor, his wealth which is the price of his life, stored, rightly, in gold and silver. Some Americans have some of these, some more, some less. They all can be taken from you easily by the ‘therapeutic,’ ‘we know what’s best for you’ suasions of the Nanny State or, if necessary, by force for Nanny loves to use the rod. You are slaves.
More and more things are compulsory: the term “mandate” defines the modern State. It ‘educates’ (bores, disables, indoctrinates, conditions and manages) our children. It takes our children from us and makes us pay for this kidnapping and ruin of our seed. We pay for this atrocity with property taxes for who ‘cares’ more for our children that school ‘teachers’? Heaven spare us from the multiplying cadres of ‘care givers.’ Kidnapping under color of law, in divorce, public schools, in crippling taxes and regulations that make you dance for the ‘gift’ of a few constitutional rights, that is the nature of the ‘freedoms’ that “our brave men and women in uniform,” that lethal phrase the tools of the power matrix beat into our minds, are ‘protecting.’ And while they ‘protect’ our way of life, such as it has become, while they build roads and schools and get killed or maimed or infected in Afghanistan, the nation dies a death of thousand cuts. The veterans (what % of their daily suicides are male? 99.999?) return with terrible wounds or diseases used by the machine to exploit emotions and extract charity while ever greater tax burdens go to medical ‘care’ and pensions. The dialectic is that when the diseases cost too much for the individual plans, this further ‘proves’ the need for the national “affordable care” act, its name a quintessential postmodern lie, an oxymoron like the phrase, “live debate.”
Our children are taken to schools, to a realm of ignorance whose ‘gender composition’ shows what this nation has become; regulations or new laws adopted after tragedies that somehow occur take or forbid guns (not that they can serve their primary original purpose anyway thanks to technology and the militarization of the government); wars of attrition, no-win wars that never end and whose lack of meaningful goals madden and impoverish take ever-larger chunks of wealth and property. Manipulation of the economy and various econometrics (like the notorious change in the COLA to cut social security payments in half or the bizarre ways for calculating “unemployment,” ™) impoverishes savers and the elderly and put the entire nation on the brink of collapse. Punitive taxation drives businesses abroad and encourages them, for self-preservation, to keep their capital abroad while we finger our multi-colored monopoly money; the cost of bread, milk, meat, fish, vegetables and nearly everything else soars pushed along by the “ethanol mandate” and central bank printing. The effects of this enslavement, the widespread desolation of seed link contraception, abortion, divorce, fiscal games and genetic modification the better “to serve man.”[2] The matrix believes there are too many human cattle; the herd must be culled. “Diversity,” attrition wars, various forms of affirmative action and ‘feminism’ (the de-naturing of women),[3] the cult of population reduction, environmentalism and the dreaded ‘carbon footprint’ all serve the main goal.

We are slaves. The young are entranced, and urged to spend all their ‘disposable’ income on the latest flat screen gadget that gives them a world in the hand (an illusion of divine power) instead of relationships and turns culture into a “mirror, mirror, on the wall” beauty-fest in which the dominion of the queen of heaven returns to claim its last victims.

Americans are so far down this dark road, they are so utterly disempowered; men have been so enormously diminished it is difficult to see how, barring a radical change of mind and authority within the ruling structure, the disintegration can be reversed. Perhaps only the rise of a new civilization and nation or the renewal of an ancient one could transform slavery to genuine freedom, trust and joy.
“Sow seed, -- but let no tyrant reap;
Find wealth, -- let no imposter heap;
Weave robes -- let not the idle wear;
Forge arms – in your defense to bear…”

No wonder that this respect is immediately abused… when the man in man is no longer desired and cultivated… by the same token, woman degenerates…Since the French Revolution…the emancipation of women demanded and promoted by women themselves (and not merely by shallow males) is an odd symptom of the weakening and dulling of the most feminine instincts.” Nietzsche often links socialism to feminism.4. Shelley, op. cit. lines 21-4

Eugene Narrett received his BA, MA and PhD from Columbia University in NYC. His writings on American politics and culture and on the Middle East and geopolitics have been widely published. These include four books, the most recent being WW III: the War on the Jews and the Rise of the World Security State (2007) which examines the historical roots and purposes of the war on terror as a late stage in the undoing of the West. His previous book, Israel and the Endtimes (2006) lays the basis for these questions.
Dr. Narrett has appeared on scores of radio programs, both major networks like WABC, Radio America, Eagle Forum Radio and Westwood Communications, as well as regional and local stations. He has been honored for his essays on art and literature and on behalf of the pro-life movement.
Since receiving his doctorate in 1978, Dr. Narrett has been teaching literature and art and creating interdisciplinary courses in the Humanities. He lectures on a variety of topics relating to western civilization, geopolitics and the multi-faceted war on the family that is a striking feature of the postmodern west.
