New national standard on personal data collection and processing set in China
From next month businesses operating in China will be encouraged to obtain the consent of individuals before collecting or processing any sensitive personal data about them, according to a state-backed news agency.

UK criminal record disclosure laws deemed to infringe individuals' privacy rights
UK laws that set out a "blanket" requirement that job applicants disclose to employers all of the "recordable" criminal convictions and police warnings they have been given are incompatible with individuals' right to privacy, the Court of Appeal has ruled.

The Government has published a draft best practice guide to the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, which it says will enable public and private infrastructure providers improve delivery and save money.
