(ANSA) - Rome, February 15 - Italy posted its biggest trade surplus since 1999 in 2012, 11 billion euros, Istat said Friday.

Exports rose 3.7% and imports fell 5.7% over the year, the statistics agency said.

A 74-billion-euro surplus in non-energy products played a large part in the results, it said.
