AQAP Mufti Al-Rubaish: The West Fears Muslims Who Try To Instate Shari'a Law

In a new audio message, the mufti of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Rubaish, says that the notion of shari'a rule frightens the West, and that is why it declares war on any country or region where Muslims have implemented the shari'a or are striving to do so. He adds that only through jihad and sacrifice will the Muslims succeed in instating shari'a law and freeing the Muslim lands from Western hegemony, and calls upon them to do so.
The 7-minute message was apparently released in response to the French intervention in Mali and its attempts to rout out the jihadists there, among other reasons. It was produced by AQAP's media company Al-Malahim, and posted February 23, 2013 on the Al-Qaeda-managed forum Al-Fida.
The following are its main points.

Al-Rubaish states that the "nations of heresy," which have raised up the banner of war against Islam in the current era, are not afraid of Muslims who implement only some commandments of Islam. However, they intensely fear Muslims who implement all of the commandments of the shari'a, including prayer, fasting, jihad and the principle of al-wala wal-bara (allegiance with Muslims and disavowal of non-Muslims).

Maulana Asim Umar: "[Prophet Muhammad's] Female Companions Offered Numerous Sacrifices For This Religion, Sacrificed Their Husbands For This Religion [Of Islam], Dressed Their Children In Their Finest Attire And Sent Them To The Battlefield Of Jihad"
In the first audio lecture, Maulana Asim Umar, an Urdu-speaking cleric affiliated with Al-Qaeda in Pakistan, stresses that women were at the forefront of jihad right from the days of early Islam. He states: "When the prophet of Allah, Muhammad, came with the call of Islam and invited people to it, whereas men took part actively in saying yes to this call, the women too were not behind. For the success of this religion, whereas Allah accepted the sacrifice of blood by men… he blessed women too with this honor at the battlefield of jihad…."
