Our grassroots activists have been out in force. There have been five events this week alone, ahead of the Budget next week. It is really fantastic to see so many people turn out to help us fight against tax hikes, whether it is another rise in excise duties making a well-earned pint more expensive or higher business rates threatening the livelihoods of so many people running a small business.
It has been an inspiring week. We also marked the 25th anniversary of the last great tax-cutting Budget in 1988 at a dinner with Lord Lawson. If we work together, we can get back there; we can win the fight for simpler, fairer and lower taxes.

MashBeerTax in Wales

Activists in Cardiff joined us at the Queens Vaults pub to support the campaign to stop yet another rise in taxes on drinks at the Budget. Add your voice by sending a quick message to your MP at MashBeerTax.org.

Supporting reform to Housing Benefit
