It is now less than 48 hours until George Osborne stands up and delivers Budget 2013. We were out in Westminster today demanding a simpler and more honest tax system, instead of three taxes on labour income - Income Tax, Employees' National Insurance and Employers' National Insurance - that add up to a basic rate of 40 per cent.

wrote for the Daily Telegraph this morning about the need for action to make the tax system less confusing, on the back of our new opinion poll. The YouGov survey shows that more people believe the moon landings were faked than think the government taxes and spends too little. Now is the time to put last minute pressure on politicians before the Budget.
