Drugs, Cash and Labour Leaflets
The Jonah curse struck again yesterday as the Prime Mentalist’s photo op pal Abid Hussian was jailed for a £19 million money laundering racket. Labour MP Fabian Hamilton turned up at his trial to provide a character reference, insisting that Abid was a “moral, honest” guy and that “it was far more likely it was a bag full of leaflets” than a bag full of drug cash that he was smuggling into the country. Leaflets like these perhaps?

James Caan Hired Unpaid Intern
Clegg’s new social mobility guru appointment went well then. As if being rumbled for giving his daughter two jobs then telling everyone else not to wasn’t enough, the Graduate Fog blog reveals he has also advertised for unpaid interns. In 2010 Caan was looking to hire an intern for three months to work in his “direct office” at the James Caan Foundation. James’ daughter insists he has done nothing wrong as under charity rules interns can work without a salary – which is nonsense legally. The 1,000 word job description makes it clear that it is a real job in ever sense of the word. Given he is worth some £70 million, not really very socially mobile is it…
