In contrast, a broad alliance of Russia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Hizballah helped Bashar Assad turn the tide of war and seize the initiative. This machine is already geared up to capitalize on its success and trample Aleppo and southern Syria. Israel is next in its sights.
