Unless Cameron pulls a very big rabbit out of a hat now that everyone  except the Czechs has ratified that treaty and now they've  said THEY will,   that projected majority of 36 seats in the next parliament  will vanish and we'll have another Labour government. UNLESS - - -

It's become a question of honour.  The original bit of DIShonour came after the Laeken declaration which called to bring the EU closer to the people. So they drafted a constitution (chief drafter Giscard d'Estaing )  which gave more power to Brussels and took it from the people,  That's more dishonour

Then both the Dutch and the French people rejected the Constitution.  That ended that,  except that it didn't.  The eurocrats and politicians put exactly the same provisions into a treaty (More dishonour) which all the politicians agreed should NOT be put to the people's vote (yet more dishonour) except for the Irish who had to,  The Irish rejected it.  THAT should have ended it - but it didn't.  (Dishonour piled upon dishonour)  The Labour and LibDem  parties, having promised a referendum, went back on their word  - (How much more dishonour can we take?)

That leaves the Tories who have so far maintained the letter of their promise though they are being decidedly weasly in its interpretation.

I say the time for dishonour is over.  If we are ever to hold our heads up again  as a nation or as a party the people must speak and we must reject the Treaty.  If that entails battles in the international court that handles treaties so be it!  If we go bust in the process so be it,  But we cannot be dishonourable too.

This is Cameron's hour.  Will he rise to the challenge? Or will he join the ranks of the dishonourable?

We cannot temporise any longer and still be a proud nation,  Enough is enough and only Cameron - one man - stands between us and and ignominy.

The ball's in his court
