View here Having a legal ban on denigrating the teachings of Islam can be problematic, for
many unpleasant points are made in the Quran, including those concerning Jews,
the position of women, ‘hypocrites’ who call themselves Muslims but refuse to go
to war for the Cause of Allah, and not least statements against ‘infidels’, who do not consider Muhammad a prophet or Allah worthy of their devotion.

Sabaditsch-Woolf Trial Verdicts
Help support our Open the Koran Day project!
Dear Harold,
Two weeks ago the Austrian judge ruled.
Elisabeth Sabaditsh-Woolf, one of ACT! for America’s international chapter leaders, was acquitted on the charge of incitement to hatred.
That’s the good news.
The bad news is she was found guilty of “denigrating” the teachings of a religion.
You can read more in a column by Henrik Clausen.
Clausen’s column notes that punishing someone for “denigrating” Islam is problematic, precisely because of what is contained in Islam’s holy books:
This illustrates why it is so important for Americans to become familiar with what is actually in the Koran and
the Hadith (the sayings and traditions of Mohammed).
This is why our Open the Koran Day event is so important.
In a few weeks we will set up a sign-up page on our website where you can sign up to host an information table. Already dozens of ACT! for America chapter leaders and members have contacted us offering to host these tables.
Please help us make our Open the Koran Day event a reality by making a monthlyPatriot Partner contribution
or a single Contributing Member contribution today!
If you prefer, you can print out a reply form and mail us a check.
One thing that sets America apart from a country like Austria is we have a First Amendment that guarantees us
the right to have an event like this. We have a constitutionally protected marketplace of ideas where people can freely examine and discuss religious and political beliefs without fear of being prosecuted.
Let’s not take that freedom for granted.
