Special Dispatch No. 4323—Tom Lantos Archives on Antisemitism Documentation and Holocaust Denial Project Columnist in Jordanian Daily: Jews and Peace Are Incompatible; 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion' Is 'Proof That They [Work] To Prevent Peace'In a column in the Jordanian daily Al-Arab Al-Yawm, As'ad Al-'Azouni wrote that Jews and peace are incompatible, because the Jews do not believe in peace and, furthermore, are responsible for all the wars and conflicts in the world. He added that the West supports the Jews only because it is afraid they might return there from Israel and spread corruption and licentiousness, as they did in the past. The following are excerpts from the article: "Israel is a peace rejectionist. That much is obvious. But what people don't know is the reason for this – namely, that Jews and peace are generally incompatible. "[The Jews] are the epitome of corruption, and this is what caused the Christian West to commit inhuman acts [against them] and to violate international laws.
