Soon it will be mainstream to say ‘leave the EU’ - Finkelstein
Mr. Finkelstein mentions Gaitskell's anti Common Market speech and his death only weeks later - but fails to connect them. Given that Gaitskell was in good health at the time of the speech but then died for reasons that, to the best of my belief, have never been properly explained, many do make that connection.
There is no doubt whatever that Mrs. Thatcher was removed by Europhiles because of her Bruges speech - and if anyone asked me whether the elite driving their EU project were capable of politically-inspired assassination, my only possisble answer is Yes. Not least because as we now see they are prepared to condemn millions of people to poverty and worse to keep the euro afloat

When the UN was founded there were about 70 countries in the world, now there are 193 and rising. The EU is therefore a move against a very strong tide, driven by people who believd in democratic self government.
Mr. Finkelstein - who like the other panellists and chairman mamaged to speak on "liberty" at the Liberty fringe meeting in Birmingham 3 years ago without ever mentiioning the greatest threat to our liberty, the EU - Hhas finally woken us, as I did belaredly in 1992 at the time of Maastricht.
The whole of his analysis is correct except the last sentence, that we do not yet know what sort of EU we might wish to stay in, or leave. We do know. There are only two possibiliities after this economic crisis - either the EU and iits totalitarian policies and eltite disappears altogether - so we do not have to make the decision to leave - or it becomes much smalle and, more "harmonised" ie totalitarian in ever respect including total control by the Mad Men who dreamed up the euro of every aspect of our economy and our lives.
That being the case there is no need to delay the referendum - bring it on
