'British Liberal Democrat leader, Nick Clegg, has called Britain's conservative eurosceptics “fanatical” further fueling hostilities among coalition partners.
“From whatever direction you come, whether you are a starry-eyed pro-European or fanatically hostile to all aspects of the EU, everybody from all sides can agree that what we need to do now is for the eurozone to deal with its immediate problems and for us to enhance growth, prosperity and jobs,” said Clegg in Brussels.
Clegg hit out at the conservative MPs who call for renegotiating the European Union's governing treaties describing such proposals as a “dangerous distraction” saying they “should not be the priority” because they result in a “protracted, introverted bout of institutional navel-gazing.”'
