Seen Elsewhere

A friend of Vince on the Balls overtures:
“Talk about overcooking the turkey. Vince was inching away like a dame not wanting to be kissed.”

The Free Thinking Lobby

First there was the man from the Sun:
Then the chairman of the Lobby:

DJ Watson Spins Leveson

Touchy Tom Watson tends to get testy when people bring up his links with the lefties Political Scrapbook. He pointedly told the Leveson Inquiry that he had nothing to do with them, which was news to some:
Watson:“I know the guy, the young guy that runs it. I have no relationship with it in terms of management or anything else.”
Jay: “Have you provided information to them for their use?”

Big drink tonight!

Yesterday’s column is now online here

Ashcroft Pulls Out of Rebel Tory Party Conference

Now you see him, now you don’t. Lord Ashcroft’s face has been pulled from the rebel Tory conference line-up for Saturday week. Last month Guido noted with interest that the Conservatives’ one time biggest donor would be the keynote speaker at what will essentially be a Dave-bashing event. Looks like he’s falling in line thanks to his new job…
