The Growing Chinese-Israeli Relationship

China has become a major destination for Israeli tourists and businessmen. Sino-Israeli relations have expanded beyond trade and economics, and currently include a degree of military ties and robust cultural and academic exchanges. Despite the fact that the political climate between Beijing and Jerusalem is far from warm, the technological marvel that Israel has become is attracting the attention of the Chinese Communist leaders.

Antisemitic Attacks by muslims in Germany

Laura: Attacks on Jews by muslim nazis has reached epidemic proportions in Europe. The atmosphere is much like the 1930′s. I hope the head of the Jewish community in Berlin isn’t holding his breath waiting for the muslim community to put a stop to the rabid antisemitism steeped within its ranks. After all, the islamic community itself, justified by islamic texts, is responsible for indoctrinating its young in murderous Jew-hatred.

Germany: #Savage Muslims hurl anti-Semitic slurs at Jewish girls, in second incident in last week

I just finished writing up the Muslim response of contempt and scorn heaped upon the Jewish leader imploring the Muslim community to address islamic anti-semitism after a bloody and brutal attack by Muslims on a Rabbi (whose cheekbone was broken in the attack) and his six-year-old daughter in Berlin. (Read more…)

GOP also changed its platform

In the 2012 Platform:
We support Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state with secure, defensible borders; and we envision two democratic states – Israel with Jerusalem as its capital and Palestine – living in peace and security. (emphasis added) (Read more…)

The Democratic Party Platform and Israel: What It Really Tells Us

Many political criticisms, particularly during an election year, are subjective and can be challenged. Has something been taken out of context? A claim misunderstood? A word twisted? What’s special about analyzing the Democratic Party platform over Israel is that it is easy to take the text and show how support for Israel has been reduced, in some cases shockingly so.
This is the draft platform and it was written by experts. The problem is the identity of those experts. This platform is a combination of “we love Israel” rhetoric (put in by the politicians?) with some serious policy problems (put in by their advisors?). The Democratic response has been denial. Oh, no, there is nothing new or different and the platform corresponds with standard U.S. policy.

Libya elections: Muslim Brotherhood set to lead government

Libya’s top politicians have hatched a deal that would see the Muslim Brotherhood lead the government after the country’s first free elections in almost five decades takes place on Saturday.
While the elections for a 200-member National Congress is unlikely to grant a majority to any one faction, the Muslim Brotherhood and its Islamist allies are confident they can join their counterparts in Tunisia and Egypt at the helm of leadership.
