THE POWER ELITE AND THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD
PART 16

[Note: Concerning the recent controversy over U.S. Rep. Todd Akin's remarks about rape and abortion, two questions must be answered. First, for what other crime is the innocent child violently killed for the father's offense? And secondly, what does God say about any abortion? Didn't God in numerous books of the Old Testament say that He hates the shedding of innocent blood? And didn't God also say that BEFORE He formed us in the womb, He knew us? That means that ANY abortion is killing an innocent human being already known to God!]

At the beginning of Part 15 of this series, I mentioned that U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann and four other members of Congress had inquired about the possible influence of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) within our federal government. Rep. Keith Ellison asked Rep. Bachmann for more information about her concerns, and she replied that the federal government continues to be "advised by organizations and individuals that the U.S. government itself has identified in federal courts as fronts for the international Muslim Brotherhood."

As David Horowitz noted a few days ago (August 30): "In 2010, State Department officials began 'engaging' with Muslim Brotherhood representatives shortly before the 'Arab Spring.' In 2011, State Department officials trained Muslim Brotherhood operatives on how to win elections as part of a course in 'democracy theories' following the fall of Hosni Mubarak...."
In Part 15, I mentioned that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's Deputy Chief-of-Staff Huma Abedin's father, mother and brother have connections to organizations with ties to the MB. In the 1990s at George Washington University, Huma herself was a member of the Muslim Students Association, which has ties to the MB. Not only is Huma's mother a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, but it is worth noting that the wife of the newly elected Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi is also a member of the Sisterhood.

I ended Part 15 by indicating my belief that the MB ultimately will institute Sharia (Islamic) law throughout Egypt. In the spring of 2012, Morsi emphasized the MB's motto, which states: "The Koran is our constitution. The Prophet Mohammed is our leader. Jihad is our path. And death for the sake of Allah is our most lofty aspiration." According to Reuters' reporter Tom Perry in "Brotherhood man promises Islamic law in Egypt" (May 25, 2012), Morsi declared at one campaign rally: "It was for the sake of Islamic sharia that men were...thrown into prison. Their blood and existence rests on our shoulders now. We will work together to realize their dream of implementing sharia." Being a pragmatic politician who needed support beyond the MB to be elected president, Morsi pledged to Gama'a al-Islamiya to work for the release of their spiritual leader, Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman (the blind sheikh imprisoned in New York for his involvement in the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center).

In December 2011, MB Supreme Guide and Leader Mohammed Badi declared there are 6 phases to their methodology, beginning with Sharia law on the individual level and ending with "mastership of the world." Relevant to this, Ryan Mauro (radicalislam.org) on June 27, 2012 reported that a secret meeting of the MB's leadership was held in mid-June resulting in the "Jazira Plan" to implement Sharia not only in Egypt, but across a Caliphate (MB affiliate Islah already dominates Yemen, and Qatar is subsidizing the MB). The plan reportedly was approved by Badi, and among its first steps was "replace the national anthem with the so-called anthem of the Islamic Caliphate."

Mauro also reported that at one campaign rally for Morsi, cleric Safwat Hegazy announced, "We are seeing the dream of the Islamic Caliphate coming true at the hands of Mohammed Morsi," and "The capital of the Caliphate and the United Arab States is Jerusalem, God willing." It is worth noting, though, that in the struggle for power in the Muslim world, the Sunni MB's deire for a Caliphate under its domination is being countered by the "Shiite Crescent" plan of Iran under its domination.

Too often, this type of violence goes uncondemned and unpunished, and the more radical elements within Islam (e.g., al-Qaeda) play upon this lack of condemnation to further their terrorist agenda. As Jihad al-Khazen in DAR AL-HAYAT (August 27) wrote: "It is therefore the duty of the Muslim Brotherhood in government to combat the terrorism of the deviant faction, and to persuade all Muslims to fight and distance themselves from terrorismand expose their barbaric ideology...."What might life be like under Sharia law? Don't count on freedom of the press!

An August 9 report by EL BALAD (an Egyptian website read by many) revealed that on August 8, "thousands of the Muslim Brotherhood's supporters" attacked 6-OCTOBER's media facilities, beat Kahled Salah---chief editor of the privately owned and secular YOUM 7 newspaper---prevented Yusif al-Hassani (an On-TV broadcaster) from entering the building and generally "terrorized the employees."
