The answer is obvious: because Iran intends to destroy Israel, dominate the Middle East and drive the United States from the region--for starters.
Ultimately, Iran aims to also destroy the United States.
In fact, the U.S. could be Iran's first target, believing that its disappearance would pave the way for the eradication of Israel.
Iran is no ordinary aggressor. It is the new Nazi Germany; and attempts to appease and engage (collaborate) with this rising power have only made war inevitable, just as appeasement and collaboration made war with Germany inevitable.
