EU news
19 May, 2013
Dear Margaret,

The past week was dominated by talk over the amendment to the Queen's Speech and the prospect of a Private Members Bill on a referendum by James Wharton MP. Elsewhere, Europe's finance ministers outnumbered the UK to impose an extra £770 million in "unjustified" contributions the Treasury must pay to Brussels this year.

It was also revealed that the EU is spending some of the UK's contribution to support bull fighting in Spain and, despite the increasing unemployment and growth crisis in the EU, Brussels decided to concentrate on unveiling plans to ban refillable olive oil jugs and dipping bowls.

This has all helped to increase the view that the UK would be Better Off Out. As shown by the latest ICM / Sunday Telegraph poll, with increased costs and constraints, more and more of the British people know that they'd be Better Off Out.
