And Cameron is openly saying he's going to pour British money down this latest Euro-Drain! With most Brits clearly hostile to the EUSSR and demanding a referendum to deliver thmelsves from its iniquities, the very first sentence is a blatant lie, at least insofar as it relates to the people of the UK. European citizens generally recognise the benefits of the EU and its contribution to Europe’s success and its standing in the world. However, European citizens feel somewhat alienated from the Union’s institutions and do not understand well how they function. This is partly due to a lack of effective communication between the EU and ordinary citizens. The ‘Together for Europe’ action tackles this issue. Dutch and French citizens remember how they got a referendum, voted against the EUSSR, then were told there'd be no more referenda on the subject, as they'd voted the wrong way and weren't to be trusted. So this next section on 'democratic credentials' is also a lie. Although most Europeans consider EU issues to be quite complex and distant, they believe in the Union’s democratic credentials. Nor is there any evidence at all that British people want more Brussels intrusion - in fact they want a LOT less, so this next sentence is also a LIE! They would also like to see the Union becoming a more integral part of their national political landscapes.Nevertheless, millions of Europeans are held back from playing a more active role at EU level through a lack of knowledge: in fact, nearly four-fifths of citizens have admitted that they do not understand the structure of the EU and are unsure to whom they could turn with an issue or concern. ..................................... ............................... In order to help address these and other citizen concerns, and to bring citizens closer to the Union, the Commission has been working hard in recent years to provide better and more accessible information on Europe, with the aim of empowering citizens, engaging them in a debate on European issues and encouraging them to help shape the Union’s future. Empowering? They are absolutely determined to deny any form of empowerment. They carefully crafted their ECI (European Citizens' Initiative)  to prevent any participation in decision-making. All it allows is the chance to meekly request the EUSSR rulers' attention to an issue, and ONLY issues that accord with what the Brussels elite regard as 'European values.' Which is to say cultural marxist values, multicult ideology, facilitation of asylum parasites, no capital punishment, and 'gay' rights. This action seeks to deepen understanding of the concept of ‘active European citizenship’ so as to bring Europe closer to its citizens. This will be achieved through three sets of measures: Closer? The people of Europe have Brussels' jackboot on their necks on a daily basis. High-visibility events seek to raise awareness of the EU by attracting public and media attention across Europe and involving all those who wish to actively participate in a debate about Europe. This measure supports events which are substantial in scale and scope, and which help develop a greater sense of belonging to a European community among EU citizens. How dare these arrogant SOBs seek to impose any such 'sense of belonging' - when they know full well that, given free rein, the anger of the people would sweep away their pretensions and privileges. Scared witless, they aim to misuse the people's money to poison the people's minds with this kind of insidious indoctrination. And Cameron, their complicit clown prince, aids and abets their amoral abuse of public money.
