THE SPEAKERS
The Rt Hon. Lord Tebbit of Chingford, CH, PC
Lord Tebbit was the Member of Parliament for Chingford and a vital part of the reform process carried out by the Thatcher governments. Lord Tebbit was a key figure in the battle against the Maastricht Treaty, and is an active opponent of EU federalism. He remains to this day an enduring standard-bearer of democracy and the nation-state.

Lord Tebbit is now the President of the Bruges Group.

Dr Robin Harris
Robin Harris is a British author and journalist. He has written for The Daily Telegraph andProspect magazine. He has a doctorate in modern history from Oxford University. When Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister Robin Harris was a member of her Policy Unit from 1989 to 1990; prior to that he was the Director of the Conservative Research Department. After Lady Thatcher left office he continued to advise her.

Robin Harris is known for his cogent views on British politics where he has been critical of David Cameron. Harris is the author of The Conservatives – A History.

Robin Harris is the author of a biography of Baroness Thatcher titled; Not for Turning: The Life of Margaret Thatcher.
