ACTS 10:34 & COGNITIVE DISSONANCE

[Note: Pundits across the U.S. have engaged in post-election analysis of why of Sen. Obama won, and the answer is really quite simple. Democrats almost never propose cutting taxes, but a long time ago when Obama promised that 95% of Americans would get a tax cut under his plan, I said that could win for him. While Sen. McCain also proposed cutting taxes, because Obama said he’d increase taxes on “the rich” (making over $250,000 per year), he was able to offer more of a tax cut to the 95% making under $250,000 per year. It‘s just that simple. A majority of Americans merely voted in their own economic self interest.

Concerning Obama’s transition team, given the importance of Pakistan today, it’s interesting that 4 of the 15 transition team members thus far are Indian-Americans (remember Obama carries a replica of the Hindu monkey god idol in his pocket). And Obama’s choice for chief-of-staff is Rahm Emanuel who was a director of Freddie Mac “when scandal was brewing at the troubled agency,” according to ABC News. Also regarding Emanuel, there’s a question of why, given Obama’s criticism of “Wall Street,” he would pick a chief-of-staff who had received millions of dollars in contributions from those in large investment and private equity firms as well as those in hedge funds.

Finally, on the PBS “Charlie Rose Show” (November 15), several “experts” discussed the coming “New International Economic Order” with greater government regulations and international cooperation to provide international financial stability.

All this means moving closer to the World Socialist Government with a global currency “The Phoenix” on the cover of THE ECONOMIST, January 9, 1988.]

Late on the evening of November 4, a black ABC news reporter was practically in tears because of his joy over Sen. Barack Obama winning the presidency. Millions of other black Americans cheered the election results because of race as well, and this is sad because Act 10:34 tells us “God is not a respecter of persons.” God doesn’t care about the race of whoever becomes president, nor should we.

Coming out of the cruelty of slavery in America, Blacks were extremely Biblical people, often singing spiritual songs. That is why it greatly grieves me to see so many blacks today who apparently put race ahead of the Biblical admonition not to shed innocent blood. This is what abortion clearly does, cruelly shedding the innocent blood of preborn babies. And Sen. Obama supports women’s choice to do this.

There has been a myth largely perpetrated by liberals that millions of white Americans, especially southerners, are racists who would never support a black person for elective office, but this is a base canard. Many white southerners applauded the selection of Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court, and regarding elective office they supported the black surgeon Mildred Jefferson when she ran for the presidency.

Had Dr. Jefferson been elected president years ago we would have had both the first black person and the first woman as president of the U.S. However, liberals didn’t want someone who adhered to the Biblical admonition against shedding innocent blood which is the result of the violent brutality of abortion. Rather, they wanted Sen. Obama who supports the anti-Biblical Roe v. Wade decision.

What has happened in America is an unfortunate shift in values among people of all races. A friend recently was talking to me in terms which I understood because of my age, but I stopped him and said he needed to understand that especially Americans under 50 years of age no longer thought, felt, or believed as we did. I told him to talk to people in this age group, and he will soon understand they are largely obsessed with themselves or what they want. This is the result of decades of pounding by public schools that situation ethics is the new moral compass. It’s all about doing what you want when you want. This is also why Sen. McCain’s “experience” claim was somewhat irrelevant to the younger generations, because experience connotes considerations other than acting upon one’s immediate desires. “Experience” also implies the importance of historical knowledge and understanding, which public schools have deliberately de-emphasized.

Thus, the younger generations are primarily interested in satisfying themselves based upon their feelings here and now, even to the extent of routinely displaying cognitive dissonance which older Americans consider mentally deficient. For example, these people (and Obama) on the one hand support Roe v. Wade because they believe government shouldn’t impose any particular morality upon women who choose to kill brutally their preborn babies. Yet at the same time they want government to impose their anti-Biblical abortion morality upon those Americans who object to their tax dollars funding these barbaric bloody, violent attacks upon these helpless, innocent children.

Liberal cognitive dissonance displays itself as hypocrisy perhaps nowhere better than in education. Liberals say they champion students’ rights, but they oppose such things as the federal Pupil Protection Amendment protecting students from privacy-invading research, psychological testing, etc. The U.S. Supreme Court recently allowed to stand a lower court’s ruling that parents sending their children to public schools could not opt out their children from indoctrination in homosexuality.

Liberals also claim to desire parental involvement in school activities, but they don’t want to require school-based clinics to inform parents if their children receive contraceptives and/or abortions. Liberals say they defend the right of free speech, but they oppose voluntary audible school prayer in classrooms. They say schools should teach the science of evolution but they oppose students being presented with the scientific evidence against evolution. At the college level, liberals claim to want a free expression of ideas, but then many “shout down” conservatives on campus.

All of the above, including the election of Sen. Obama as president, is really about values and whether we as a people choose what God wants us to do or what we want to do. Unfortunately, we for years have not chosen to follow the will of God. The American people did not prevent Elian Gonzales from being returned not to his father, but as anti-God dictator Fidel Castor said, “to the State.” The American people also didn’t prevent Terry Schiavo from being murdered by the government.

These are examples of the Power Elite’s population control agenda, and that’s why they wanted Sen. Obama elected president. He will have the opportunity to replace at least two Supreme Court justices who will see to it that the anti-God Roe v. Wade decision is not reversed. In complying with the Power Elite’s will, the American people on November 4 chose the death of preborn babies by abortion over the right to life with which we were endowed by our Creator, God.

Thus, what NBC’s Brian Williams told PBS host Tavis Smiley on election eve was correct. Instead of saying we’re electing the next president of the free world, Williams said (and wasn’t corrected by Smiley) “We’re electing the president of the next free world.” He was right.

The free world of the past operated largely on the basis of Biblical values, but “the next free world” is one in which man has replaced God (Genesis 3:4 “ye shall be as gods.”) as the final arbiter of what’s right or wrong. God, though, is “not a respecter of persons,” and Americans will reap the whirlwind (Hosea 8:7) of what they have done.

Once again, God has set before us life and death, urging us to “choose life” (Deuteronomy 30:19), but Americans have chosen death (abortion) in electing a president who supports Roe v Wade. Woe unto the American people for this, as Proverbs 1:32 may describe our economic future while Proverbs 1:25-31 may describe our overall future including “destruction (which) cometh as a whirlwind.”
