To be honest, I was sorry to see tonight that Israel has called a ceasefire. It would be best that the IDF/IAF continue to pound every Hamas savage into the dirt of Gaza but I guess this was an inevitable political gesture considering the Obama coronation coming to you 24/7 early next week. I caught Jeremy Bowen commenting on this announcement on the 10 News and was struck by his once-more repeated admiration for the Hamas policy of what he calls "Martyrdom and sacrifice" aka hiding behind women and children and finessing homicide bombers in the kindergarten. The BBC still refuses to share with us how many Hamas terrorists have gone in to meet Allah prematurely, instead preferring to imply that Israel has only killed innocents during this campaign. The coverage of this military campaign against Hamas is a textbook example of BBC bias against Israel and all the reason in the world why we should not be funding such naked anti-semitism . It''s amazing to watch this Beeb sycophancy, presented to us as news, from the same broadcaster which waged unrelenting hostility to the Bush presidency over the past eight years. Now that their man is about to get into the White House you can be sure that all reporting will be sanitised, ensuring that any objectivity goes out the window. Labels: pro Obama Comments: 30 (unread) - Biased BBC Home David Vance # So, foul mouthed 40's something egomaniac adolescent and glittering star within the BBC firmament Jonathan Ross is due to return to our screens, a truly chastened figure! Erm well not! The Mail reports that "Despite the fuss he caused, provoking an unprecedented 42,000 complaints following his obscene and distasteful 'prank' call with Russell Brand to Andrew Sachs, Ross has a simple attitude to the furore - which is that people need to 'get over it'." It appears that no extra measures are being put in place to prevent the creation of further offence. 'The code of compliance is just as it was before,' confirms a Radio 2 spokesman. And, astonishingly, the BBC claims it has had no extra meetings with the star during which taste and standards were discussed. There will be no extra supervisors in the studios looking over his shoulder and the chain of command will remain just as it was before all the fuss. Even the question of what Ross might say at the Baftas - which will go out before the 9pm watershed - is being regarded with studied nonchalance. Is anyone surprised? The BBC showed a lamentable lack of understanding of the offence that Wossy caused in the first instance and has made this compounded this ever since by demonstrating a revolting combination of arrogance and contempt for the license-payer. It's just one more puff piece aimed at presenting Brown as an honest bloke who just wants all those nasty private financial institutions to be like him and plainly share with the public just how inept they have been. Given that Brown has spent the last decades lying through his teeth to the public, this is a bit rich. Once again we see the BBC running an item solely aimed at glorifying Gordon when all the evidence is that this hypocrite would not recognise the truth if he stumbled across it! Labels: Gordon Saved. The it phones Jeremy Bowen, and the idea is now being propagated that Israel must be tried for war crimes. What sickens me is that the BBC must know that Hamas are committing war crimes on a daily basis and not ONE of their intrepid reporters has thought of asking their pals in UNWRA if using women, children, hospitals and schools as shields is a war crime? In the BBC campaign against Israel, Hamas are never guilty and Israel is never innocent. Labels: pro HamasBiased BBC Saturday, January 17, 2009
