Population Control To Combat 'Global Warming' Advocates Jonathan Porritt

'Couples who have more than two children are being "irresponsible" by creating an unbearable burden on the environment, the government's green adviser has warned.

Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the government's Sustainable Development Commission, says curbing population growth through contraception and abortion must be at the heart of policies to fight global warming. He says political leaders and green campaigners should stop dodging the issue of environmental harm caused by an expanding population.'

Armed Police Stopping Drivers in Kettering

'Armed police are stopping drivers in Kettering this afternoon in a traffic check point. Drivers were being pulled over on the A43 northern bypass near Telford Way industrial estate in a check for motoring offences such as driving without insurance.

The check point would not usually have been manned by armed police officers but Northamptonshire Police used the operation as a training exercise for the firearms team.'

Humans 'Will Be Implanted With Microchips'

'All Australians could be implanted with microchips for tracking and identification within the next two or three generations, a prominent academic says.

Michael G Michael from the University of Wollongong's School of Information Systems and Technology, has coined the term "uberveillance" to describe the emerging trend of all-encompassing surveillance.

"Uberveillance is not on the outside looking down, but on the inside looking out through a microchip that is embedded in our bodies," Dr Michael told ninemsn.'

Obama's Hitler Oath

'Under the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler, German Wehrmacht officers and soldiers as well as civil servants pledged personal loyalty to the Fuhrer, not the German constitution. It appears Obama has taken a page from Hitler's authoritarian playbook, according to Michele Chang.

"A spokesman for General James Cartwright, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, states that the Obama Administration wants to have soldiers and officers pledge a loyalty oath directly to the office of the President, and no longer to the Constitution," Chang writes.

'Common Purpose' Reported Over Data Protection Issues

'Leadership training organisation Common Purpose named individual making FOI requests about its work to public authorities.

Leadership training charity Common Purpose has been reported to the Information Commissioner's Office for alleged breaches of data protection law.

The Northwest Regional Development Agency, which made the complaint, has also apologised to a person whose name it inadvertently passed on to Common Purpose after he made a request under the Freedom of Information Act about its dealings with the charity.'
