Are You Afraid for Israel?

About thirty years ago my wife, Andrea, our three daughters and I left the United States of America and came to live in our ancient homeland, Israel. Then, as now, many people saw such a move as foolhardy and even irresponsible. One of our neighbors told me that he wouldn’t consider moving to Israel because he has a son and would be afraid that he would die in a war. I only had daughters, so they would be exempt from army service. It was a feeble justification not to come home. The fact is that every Jew in the world is an “Israeli soldier”. It is much easier for a soldier to fight and defend himself if he is part of the army in his own homeland rather than standing alone in a foreign country. The loyal Jewish citizens of Germany back in the thirties discovered this fact the hard way. Yet we “modern” Jews choose not to learn the lessons of history, much less recognize our destiny.

Gary Cooperberg will be speaking in the USA between June 21-30th. He is prepared to go anywhere to speak out about the real dangers which confront all of Mankind today. If you would like to invite him to your area please feel free to contact him at gary@projectshofar.org. Don’t wait until he is fully booked.

[Freeman Center Note: We will be co-sponsoring him with Frank and Alice Lanza (Hineni Ministries) on June 23 in Houston, Texas.  Gary's topic will be: Indications of Advancement of the Process of Biblical Redemption. Please RSVP for time and location with Anky 281-370-2764].

After living in Katif for about a year we moved to Kiryat Arba, Hebron. It was here that our son was born to us. Avi made history when he was the first Jew to be circumcised in the Hall of Isaac in the building atop the Cave of Machpelah in Hebron. A couple of years later our fifth child, Rachel was born. It is so hard to believe how fast the years have past. How different our life would have been had we not chosen to move to Israel. Andrea and I could not be more pleased with the way things worked out for us. Yes, Avi served in the IDF in a combat unit in the Gaza Strip. Yes, we were worried about him. But we also worried about all of our children every time a bus blew up in Jerusalem. Thank G-d we were spared tragedy.
About eight years ago we moved into a new and beautiful apartment in Kiryat Arba. Soon after we moved our middle daughter, Dina was married. Today she is living with her husband and four children (and another on the way) in the same apartment in which she grew up. This is the “natural growth” secretary Clinton would have us stop. On June 4th, our “little” Avi will be getting married in Kiryat Arba. He and his bride-to-be decided that they too would like to live in Kiryat Arba.

Alas, there were no apartments available to rent here and there is even a waiting list of young couples looking for homes. After all, natural growth impedes the peace process. Fortunately, only last week, Avi found a newly available apartment and he grabbed it. So despite the efforts of our “friends”, who emulate our enemies, “the more they oppress us and try to limit us, the more we grow and prosper.” There is no way to express the joy and satisfaction of parents who watch their children grow up and begin to raise their own families... in the Land of our Fathers.

Did we sacrifice and suffer to obey the commandment to live in the Land? Quite to the contrary. We fulfilled our lives with joy far beyond our own expectations by making that decision. I never would have dreamed that the day would come when I would sit in my beautiful living room in Kiryat Arba with a lapful of grandchildren listening intently as I broke my teeth trying to translate into Hebrew the English storybooks which I used to read to their parents. And how patient they are as they correct their “saba’s” Hebrew!

I sincerely pity every Jew who has no idea what he is missing by staying away from home. Soon after Avi’s wedding, and shortly before the birth of our sixth grandchild, I plan on making another speaking tour to the USA. This tour is financed by Project Shofar to enable me to speak out to those who really want to hear about the reality of the Divine Process of Biblical Zionism from one who has chosen to be a part of it. If you have people in your community who would like to have an opportunity to listen to what I have to say, and to ask difficult questions which I will attempt to answer, please don’t hesitate to contact me at gary@projectshofar.org. I still have openings between June 24-30 and will make every effort to accommodate requests. While Project Shofar does accept voluntary contributions, there are no fees or expenses to pay in order for me to come. So don’t wait until it is too late.

Project Shofar is dedicated to spreading these truths wherever it is possible to do so. It is sounding the alarm, to Jew and Gentile alike,to open our eyes to the G‑dly process that is presently underway, and work to support it. We dare not stand idly on the sidelines.
