Is the Hologram a Racist?

June 10th, 2009

Recently the hologram made a highly touted speech (the mass media virtually herded all the cattle into the electronic coliseum to watch and listen) in which the Koran was given pride of place, the Talmud second and the “Holy Bible” third: the Torah or Books of Moses were eclipsed. Implicit message: the Torah derives and is later than the Talmud and those other texts. Today also the nation of Israel must choose whether to continue to endure a client regime that demolishes Jewish dwellings and defends itself only with ‘permission a la Shushan,’ permission of a foreign king or to be a free people in the land, the only way a Jew can be a Jew. But few today grasp the resonance of yashar and shaleim, as Jacob was when he returned to Shechem. Read the rest of this entry »
