Where did you pick that up?’

We highly recommend the upcoming conference ‘Where did you pick that up?’ on schools and the sexualisation of our children. It is being held in central London on Saturday 2 October from 9am to 5pm. The conference will look at the current sexualisation of children and how we can positively respond.

Sex Education ten-minute rule Bill

The motion to allow Labour MP Chris Bryant’s ten-minute rule Bill to be a private members Bill was passed on 8 September without a vote, denying Mr. Bryant an opportunity to test the opinion of the House. If it came into law, the Bill would make sex education compulsory in schools. As a private member’s Bill his proposal is unlikely to become law.

Open Doors petition

Open Doors, a charity which helps persecuted Christians worldwide, is organising a petition against the introduction of the Defamation of Religions Resolution at the United Nations.

The resolution would allow governments the power to determine which religious views can and can’t be expressed in their country, as well as giving the state the right to punish those who express ‘unacceptable’ religious views.
